Let’s start this blog off with the topic of perfectionism.
I love creating – whether it be in the form of video, music, drawing, painting, writing, etc. I always have ever since I was little, and I need creative outlets to express and process what I feel and what I have experienced.
However, over the past few months I realized how much the desire to create content that is “perfect” has turned into a stumbling block. That perspective stems from feeling like I put a little bit of myself into everything I create, and to share that with the internet places me in a vulnerable position.
One of my major goals is to use the artistic talents I have been blessed with to create content that makes an impact. I won’t be able to achieve that goal if I am not sharing content I have created. This post marks the start of stopping perfectionism from getting in the way.
With that said, here’s to putting that talk into practice. A while back, myself along with another peer created a video titled “The Love Project” which focuses on the importance of self-worth.
From that one video, I created a mini-series which individualizes each person’s interview. The purpose of this project is to serve as a reminder to love yourself, and love those around you.
